@ 14:47 Engine 5-11-1, Tankers, 5-11, 5-5, 5-3 Truck 5-12, Rescue 5-12,

Engines 5-4-1, 5-12-1, 5-5-2 & 5-3-2 were dispatched for a dwelling at 467 Marticville road. Deputy 5-11 went in route and was given the additional of multiple calls were received reporting heavy smoke and flames coming from the residence. Deputy 5-11 went ahead and added 2 additional tankers due to day time staffing and responded to the scene. Chief 5-5 arrived to find what appeared to be a room and contents fire in the 1st floor side “A” of the residence. Engine 5-11-1 & Truck 5-12 arrived, forced entry and made the attack on the fire which had burned itself out for the most part. Additional crews arriving were assigned to checking for extension, completing the primary search & ventilation. The fire was held to the kitchen area with extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the rest of the residence. The owners of the home were not home at the time.

Crews cleared the scene at 17:32 after assisting the fire marshal and completing some overhaul, the cause was determined by the PSP fire marshal to be a faulty dishwasher.
